Details: The Toro region is west of the Rioja in Northern Spain, where the dominant red grape variety is the Tempranillo. This version is known as 'Roble Francais' because of the oak ageing process that is carried out for a period of 6 months in French Oak. The resultant wine is soft and chunky, with a reinforced flavour from its contact with the oak. This process forces the wine to throw a sizeable crystalline deposit, but the style and character are magnificent. The alcohol is typically high at 14.5%
