Details: Rueda is a tiny area, producing high quality wine from a series of unknown grape varieties, situated in North East Spain, close to the Portuguese border. The hot climate allows the Tempranillo to grow to a huge size, which makes it capable of high output. However the specialists producers of the area like to make a sophisticated Rose, and use the Tempranillo. This means the minimum amount of skin contact and the greatest amount of freshness and flavour, whilst not too much alcohol is generated. This outstanding, finely balanced wine is clean and fresh and has an elegant well made fruit style, which will suit all salads, seafood and shellfish. Superb for a refreshing glass with friends.
