Details: Domaine Santonilles, is a single vineyard located just 7 km from the Cave at St Nabor, and this is where the Castor family live. Surrounded by 6 different grape varieties, the vineyard mainly produces Grenache and Mourvedre. The grapes are hand picked and pre-selected for this special wine, which is their only Cotes du Rhone Village wine, and the 2012 was a gold medal winner. Soft and flavourful, this wine is now at its peak, and drinks beautifully with strong cheeses and game. Matured for a few months in French oak barrels, to enhance the flavour and increase the softness. Absolute stunner, not always available.
